Stearman N909PT based at ESN. Boeing Stearman originally built in 1942 then rebuilt and modified over the years since. This was a military primary trainer during WWII then later probably used as a 'crop duster' before being restored for the first time. There were many 'interesting' modifications recently removed or replaced during the 8 month long 2019 annual inspection.
This Stearman is powered by a Lycoming 300 hp R-680 nine cylinder radial engine that was recently rebuilt by Radial Engines Limited, the best round engine shop you could find.
Avionics include: Garmin GTR 225 comm, Lynx NGT-9000 Transponder with ADS-B 'in and out' also WiFi coupled to panel mount map/traffic display. Intercom is PM 1200 'high noise' system as either PTT or VOX.
If you are a 'Stearman Purest' , you will not like this airplane...too bad!
