United States Coast Guard Yard The U.S. Coast Guard Yard has been building, repairing, and renovating ships for the U.S. Coast Guard since 1899. It is located on Arundel Cove and Curtis Creek in northern Anne Arundel County. It is the USCG's only shipbuilding and major repair facility. It is also the US Department of Homeland Security's largest industrial facility. The Yard operates with an annual budget of $100 million and is responsible for fleet support operations which include engineering, logistics, and maintenance and complete life-cycle support; installation, operations, maintenance and ultimately replacement.
